as a multistan i personally think it’s fine and actually kinda funny to spot other group’s lightsticks at a concert. i went to a txt concert once and saw twice and bts lightsticks there!!

if light sticks and tickets were more affordable I would agree but since I have 2 daughters into kpop that would be 160 on light sticks before tickets per group I will bring what I have.

Personally I believe that they are expensive so get your money worth. Also, if you can change the color to match the group that’s a bonus. Like army bombs for example. They can do the whole rainbow.

Don’t think it’s that deep tbh, if I was an idol and I’m performing and see a different group lightstick I would think they spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars ( depending on the seat + travel etc ) to see me perform so I wouldn’t gaf

for concerts outside of asia, it’s common to see a lot of lightsticks. at a seventeen concert, i saw twice, nct, stray kids, and txt lightsticks. a lot of songs usually just have one color and you can just use the app to change the color and effect (strobe, flash, slow bubble, non-blinking, etc). and for concerts in asia, who cares if other fans give you side eye, it shouldn’t ruin the experience for you.

i understand this pov, at the same time tho i feel like most idols are going to be happy you’re just there to support them. also concerts are expensive as is, i’m sure the idols acknowledge that.
