The other big thing I forgot to mention is the rising costs of running a venue. It’s super prohibitive to any independent businesses trying to open new venues.

People are saying it’s dying but I just think it’s shifting. During the summer there is a festival on nearly everyday and they are rammed. In the winter it’s super clubs like drum sheds

City centre is dead now on nights out. Went for a meal with partner and had a walk down to usual places we’d go drinking when younger and both was shocked how dead it was compared to when we went out

As a promoter i’d say traditional weekly clubbing nightlife is defintely done and won’t come back in the way it existed before covid. It’s all about big budget events WHP, Drumsheds, blackstone etc.
