@thevagdoc: Frozen shoulder? Related to perimenopause and menopause!?! * This is general educational information not specific medical advice meant for any individual #frozenshoulder #womenshealth #womenshealthmatters #obgyn #perimenopause #menopause #hormones #prevention #perimenopausesupport #menopausesupport #inflammation
I had frozen shoulder, did physical therapy. It helped then started getting in the other shoulder. Then tennis elbow. Finally started HRT, in 5 days I had relief. I'm assuming everyone is different.

Can the synthetic estrogen in Birth Control Pills help prevent or help with inflammation? I’m 41 and am one month in and already feel like a new person.

Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) is not talked about enough. My ortho and physical therapist didn’t even connect it to perimenopause. Mine was excruciating for 6 months😞 Wish I got HRT sooner

Was diagnosed in my 50’s. Went to therapy many months. While attending to one frozen shoulder, the other side started acting up and ended up being a frozen shoulder too. Was never told about estrogen

No one mentioned estrogen, perimenopause, or hormone therapy to me either. I had a Cortizone shot and it helped so much!

My ortho dismissed the menopause hypothesis- go figure. But a couple of steroid shots over a year and a half and phys therapy exercises, it resolved and hasn’t come back.

Both my shoulders are like this. I’ll get checked out to be sure nothing serious, but this may explain my pain…

I was just ordered a humerus scan from OB, the pain is from the center not the shoulder, pain has been consistent for months. Do I do the scan or chalk it up

Can you kindly share your opinion of Tibolone ( Livial) for post-menopause and osteoporosis issues. Had HRT in a past but last 7 years didn’t use anything till ended up with osteoporosis 😱 Thank you!

My doctor doesn’t want to even discuss HRT. 🤨 I have frozen shoulder. Have already lost a range of movement. Am having physio. I’m in my mid 60s.

PT doesn’t help at all, I’ve had FS twice. About 10 months into the second one, they put me on HRT and it’s helped a bit (but I think the HRT levels need checking)

My physical therapist told me that it was caused by stress. Pain eventually got better but lost range of motion. 5 years later the pain is back with a vengeance.

Yep, I had frozen shoulder right when I turned 50, literally. Didn’t know it was that until I was talking to a friend…resolved after a good 8 months.
