Our office is finished and it’s truly a dream space! It’s been 18 years since we’ve had a dedicated office in our home and I’m so excited to have one again! We did an IKEA hack built-in for the bookshelves (check out part 1 if you missed it!) and my favorite part was putting up this amazing wallpaper from @wall.blush this print is called Huck and Finn and it’s magical. Let me show you how we got the look of wallpaper but for only the cost of 2 gallons of paint! The key is to use the same exact color on your walls and the painted detail but change the finish of the paint. We used an eggshell finish for the base wall paint and a high gloss finish for the detail (every other stripe). It looks so cool, especially how it reflects the light at different times of day. This project cost us less than $50 vs. what would have been a few hundred dollars or more if we had done the high end wallpaper I modeled this project after! I also saved a few painting tips for getting perfect crisp paint lines in my “tips and tricks” saved highlight! Up next is finishing this laundry room project by adding cabinets, more functional space, and so much more!!
