9 months in and this was my first solo bath and bedtime routine with my twins. 🛁 My husband is a firefighter which means he works overnight so a couple nights a week it’s just me. Hudson and Caspian are used to a full production team for winding for at night (shoutout to Baba and my mom 🙏) but because of my mom currently getting through a bipolar disorder episode and having to take a step back, this was a new routine for all three of us. This was chaotic but I know they’ll get used to it. If you’re a twin mom doing this solo, here’s the system that my friend Charlotte, a fellow twin mom, shared: 1. Stage EVERYTHING in the bathroom before you start (pajamas, diapers, bottles… all of it. You cannot leave the room once this begins). 2. Bathe both babies together. 3. Take the calmer twin out first, wrap in a blanket, dress him, hand him his bottle. 4. Go back for twin two. Repeat. Hopefully your bathroom is not l the size of a carry-on suitcase like mine.
