This was the exact position I was in, two wheelchairs one I brought from careco, one nhs and now I have a £2000 QS5X that fits me perfectly and I’m raising for a £5000 motor :)

custom manuals are so expensive but if you look up generic sports wheelchairs you can find some great results online! they're more compact and generally give you much better posture

there are charities that help fun wheelchairs for young people just have a Google and see what you can find it might be able to help a bit with a savings pot for buying one

The NHS wheelchair service took 1 month to get me an appointment, and then 6 for the chair to arrive, and I'm in the town with the worst wait lists *in the UK*

Hello :) I have used an electric wheelchair for 16 years. The only part you shouldn’t get wet is the controller. You can bug covers but I just carry a plastic bag with me a put it over in the rain! 1/

I think wheel chair users can become teachers or work in a nursery but not 200 percent on that bc I have a teacher who uses a wheel chair. I hope u can get a better wheel chair btw
