Ray of frost isn't a warlock cantrip according to the book and invocations apply to eldritch blast or "warlock cantrips" in the new 2024 rules which ray of frost isn't on the list

my dm is letting me use it with green flame blade and im adding my charisma twice to my attacks at level 4. Gonna swap off once i get extra attack but for now it's a WILD constant damage boost

New Eldritch Knight can do a similar build with Whip Mastery, Slasher feat, and Ray of Frost. Plus, you don’t need the DM buy-in required to have Lance of Lethargy affect Ray of Frost.
