my cat only goes up there looking for food/leftovers. he doesn't care about the cat trees, or the cat toys. he's entirely food motivated. if he's not on the counter looking for food hes always within 6ft of his food bowl. the only time he gives me attention/cuddles is when I have food in my hands/plate and even then he's trying to steal my food off my plate or hands.

It’s so frustrating that nobody ever covers how to stop cats jumping up there looking for food. Yes I feed them enough, they’ll do it immediately after eating too. They act like they’re constantly hungry even though they aren’t they’ve always been that way. Putting them on the cat tree doesn’t work.

My cat just jumps on the counter then walks over to the tree. So we put bar stools and now the cat just sits in the stools to watch the kitchen. Just wants to be included.

Mine is always dying for food and no matter hoe much i feed him, he will sneak there when i am not present, i decided to let him live outdoors instead and he loves.
