Six years ago, on August 4, 2020, at 6:07 PM, Lebanon experienced one of the darkest moments in its history. In a matter of seconds, lives were taken, families were torn apart, homes were destroyed, and an entire city was left in shock. The explosion at the Port of Beirut was not just an event that damaged buildings, it left wounds in the hearts of countless people that are still felt today. Today, we remember every victim whose life was cut short, every injured person who continues to carry physical or emotional scars, every family that lost a loved one, and every person whose life changed forever on that day. We also remember the firefighters, paramedics, doctors, volunteers, and ordinary people who rushed to help others without thinking twice. Their courage and humanity will never be forgotten. Beirut has always been a city known for its beauty, its culture, and the strength of its people. Even after unimaginable pain, its people stood together, cleaned the streets with their own hands, rebuilt what they could, and refused to let hope disappear. Their resilience became a symbol of courage for the whole world. This post is not meant to reopen wounds, but to make sure the memory of that day never fades. We owe it to those we lost to remember them, to honor their lives, and to keep their stories alive. Time may pass, but some moments become part of history forever, and August 4 is one of those moments. May God have mercy on every soul that was taken that day, grant patience and strength to their families, and bless Lebanon with peace, justice, and healing. Rest in peace to all the victims. You are gone, but you will never be forgotten. 🇱🇧🕊️ #beirut #august4 #lebanon
