You said "in the 80s" but they never stopped that in China and Japan. My friends' pre-wedding shoot from the early 2000s was the cutest thing ever. My brother's shoot from 6 years ago was so sweet.

I believe the couple & photographer (noodle picture) who first started the trend are from Vietnam and they were indeed inspired by 90s Hong Kong media ☺️. I saw another couple who did Hong Kong-style photo shoots in San Francisco.
