Have you try to get a Armor jacket that looks like a regular jacket. They tend to be more comfortable than full gear.

We have had 2 in the last few weeks and the groups have contacted the police and do a full on 50 to 70 bike slow roll with police escort to show their love of the person and the ride.

Goes both ways, we have a ride today for two buddy’s, one passed and the other lost his leg. We set strict rules and talk before any ride for someone in the sense of clearing up the bs, no stupid shit

I live in a town just big enough for a Walmart so my rule is if I’m just staying in town, and it’s hot out, gloves and a helmet will do. But if I go out of town then I throw on my airbag jacket.
