Aashiqui 2 (2013) is a romantic musical drama about love, fame, addiction, and sacrifice. The movie follows Rahul Jaykar, Aditya Roy Kapur, a famous singer whose career is falling apart because of alcoholism. One night, he hears a young woman named Aarohi Keshav Shirke, played by Shraddha Kapoor, singing at a local bar. Impressed by her extraordinary voice, Rahul promises to make her a star. Rahul helps Aarohi enter the music industry. She becomes a successful playback singer, while Rahul’s own career continues to decline due to his drinking.
