@sandiegovocalcoach: Replying to @Jordan ✨ I am loving these recommendations!! What a great live performance from Hayley Williams. And wow - “All I Wanted” is not easy to sing live. Someone mentioned she only sings this song live as of recently, and I can see why! She belts up to a High E in her chorus. Being able to belt this high is rare, and unfortunately you’re either born with it or you aren’t. There is a technique known as “mock belting”, where you essentially mix the note. Though you can still hear a difference, it’s a great alternative if you can’t belt up that high. I also don’t have this note, my break for belting is at a high D. If you do want to try this note yourself, make sure you’re hooking behind the nose, sliding up into the note, engaging your abs, and modifying to an “ah” to make more space.
