Doesn't work. Spell is concentration so only one use at a time and also only lasts one minute.

couple problems with this: 1: the spell plainly stats they become hostile to the caster. raw, this doesn't work, but rai it should per Mike Mearls. however, he also said they would get a wis check.

This is why I don't like friends RAW. I think it'd be better if the drawback was they realise they were charmed when the spell ends instead of becoming hostile.

so now the while town wants to take out the warlock, since the spell specifies "hostile to YOU", not "who you looked like". They are magically hostile to YOU but have no idea why.
