Harbor freight has a multi size pack for cheap, I change it out on my trucks every 3rd oil change, same on my wheelers & side by side

I drive Chevys, I consider a new drain plug part of the oil change to be honest. haven't had an oil leak since I started doing it that way. only an extra $2

I got a 2011 Honda CRV with over 200,000 miles and a 2012 Tacoma with 175,000 miles and NEVER changed one out with NO leaks. I change my oil every 5,000 miles with Full Synthetic High Mileage oil.

You can buy a big pack on Amazon or eBay cheap. You’re supposed to change them every time but you can get away with reusing them over and over most of the time

The crush washer is to help prevent over torque. It has nothing to do with sealing. I don’t use one on my Honda. Never leaked a drop

You changed them every time to keep the pressure off the threads to prevent threads from wearing out and stripping over time and it seals off but I’m with you I just change them when I see one like
