Car Projects build by apprentices are a tradition at Volkswagen, every year the best apprentices in Germany get picked and they all build a car together. This Golf GTI Next Level was made in 9 Months by them. In Germany you have to do an apprentice before you can work in a job, the apprenticeship for a car mechanic takes 3½ years and in that time you work 3-4 days in a week and the other 1-2 days you go to school. At the end you have a big test and if you make it, you are a certified car mechanic. I have actually done my apprenticeship as a car mechanic at Volkswagen too, but i was shit and never got picked for one of those cool projects:( As the base car they chose a Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance. Modification list is huge, on the outside it received a two tone paintjob, Audi R8 wheels, Oettinger bodykit and underglow adjustable per phone. Engine mods include Mahle Forged Pistons with steel rods, upgraded turbocharger, bigger intercooler, carbon airbox, handmade 3 inch flap-exhaust which is adjustable via steering wheel and enforced transmission. Front brakes were taken from an Audi S8 and rear brakes from an RS6, suspension is a Billstein B16 connected to the DCC and much much more. One of the coolest things is probably the Xbox in the trunk which is connected to huge screen that folds in. #vw #vwgolf #golfgti #gti #golf7
