@heydrrob: Are you doing lat pull downs like this? That’s great—it’s a solid move. But if you’re only doing pulling motions, you might be neglecting an important part of your back. Let me show you two great exercises you should start doing today. Rowing motions mainly target the lats, but you also need to focus on the trapezius, which runs from your neck down to your thoracic spine. A simple I-Y-T exercise will hit those muscles hard. You don’t need heavy weights, just 3 to 5 pounds. Get on a bench, retract your neck, tighten your core, and squeeze your glutes to align your spine. For the “I,” push your hands away, keeping your thumbs up, then come down slowly. For the “Y,” push your hands out at an angle to hit the middle and upper traps. The “T” targets the middle and lower traps. Do 15 to 25 reps and repeat for 2 to 3 sets. Next, grab a band for some openers. Start at eye level and squeeze your shoulder blades, then move down to chest level, and finally go from waist level all the way over your head. Doing these on back day will build a stronger back, improve posture, and keep your shoulders healthy. Remember, what you can’t see in the mirror is just as important as what you can. This will help you get better, not older. #backworkout #backexercises #backday

Dubai PT :
dear dr, those exercises are all for shoulder activation/rehab/mobility...also the angle you demonstrated lat pulldown hits mid/lower traps and doesn't really engage lats...you're welcome

Why? Pretty much every exercise exhaust and works the Traps. Very hard not to engage. I don’t want big traps. I want huge shoulders

These are all exercises that I was given in PT for my rotator cuff injury. I guess they good the traps, but they are more to strengthen the shoulders.
