I actually had a relative say "you should marry a yt person be your baby will be mixed and more beautiful" ooomg compared to full? 😭 can we end the self-loathe DISCLAIMER: I am not implying that one is better or more/less Filipino or beautiful than the other. This is an observation I'm making that I want to have a critical commentary on. Nor am I implying I agree on how I look aesthetically etc Also, I will admit, in the past when I was younger, I would get FLATTERED if someone were to assume that I was mixed.. why? why couldn't I feel proud or good enough about full? (Now I am ♥️but ya) I really just feel like we need to get honest about this. And its effects on worth, confidence, etc. Also It's the excitement for me 🥺 It reveals to me a majority want to feel reflected, or want to feel they are beautiful enough be so much of the imagery is whitewashed, etc Anyone relate or have thoughts?? I am NOT invalidating those who are of mixed roots because I know y'all have struggled to feel considered *enough* in a different sense and that's so valid.
