the full faced snorkels are dangerous. the ball that floats at the top of the snorkel blocks air when you tilt your head a certain way I've almost drowned wearing those

I don't understand why people don't use a floatation device. don't recommend using the full face snorkels.

Lived on Maui 13 years, you wouldn’t catch me out far snorkeling honestly anywhere on the island without a boat nearby. Never would that have felt safe to me and I’m a good swimmer. 😣

I went scuba diving in Hawaii and it’s the only time I genuinely thought I would die. So many instructions and UNPREDICTABLE water. I quit 30 mins in. Didn’t even ask for a refund. Never again.

it's the suction created if you go under all the way snorkel is ment to be above water. in a full mask if you go under you can exhale but no new air goes in only water

We recently went on a cruise and went snorkeling . A couple brought there own full face masks and the snorkeling instructor advised them that they’re not allowed to wear those d/t suffocation. So sad.

In Hawaii we’re taught that the waters are not always safe ! And to always be careful and to be trained atleast experienced in swimming in the ocean
