I did this as a kid since threading/waxing wasn’t an option. It made my skin super sensitive and would burn everytime I used it. I prefer using those round electrical skin shavers for the face now.

Use an electric trimmer. I like the pink one by panasonic. It isn't abrasive like shaving, there's no scraping of the skin. No irritation and breakouts.
