Bitcoin typically leads the show when it comes to market cycles, grabbing most of the attention and liquidity. Yet, there are three types of cycles we should be aware of: the initial Bitcoin cycle, the altcoin cycle, and the micro cycles within the altcoin cycle, known as narrative cycles. When Bitcoin moves up, it often attracts most of the funds, sparking an initial surge. This is followed by a transfer of liquidity into altcoins, which typically lasts from three to six months. Within this altcoin phase, we experience trend-specific micro cycles. For instance, there could be sudden spikes in gaming coins or DeFi tokens. This dynamic allows us to strategically cycle our investments through these phases. Imagine buying Bitcoin and riding the wave up, then switching to top altcoins for their surge, and finally pinpointing niche tokens ready to pop. This is a strategy I’m genuinely excited about and believe will shape our approach to crypto investing moving forward.
