idling your engine longer than 3 seconds wastes more gas than restarting it. Mythbusters tested it even like 20 years ago.

The failure point on my 2018 Camry at 220K is rough idleing. Start stop technology would prevent it from happening

Paid money for a deactivation module that is plug and play for my vehicle to deactivate the start/stop permanently

I don't get why ppl hate this feature SO much. Keep it on for a month; you'll get used to it. And the 10%ish fuel savings are worth it imo

Oil draining from internal engine parts regularly before a restart at frequent stops doesn’t sound like a good idea. The 1 mpg gain isn’t worth it.

Almost like the powertrain engineers know what they're doing. stop start of a hot engine causes no additional wear. They have larger batteries and larger starters designed for this duty cycle.

I live in FL. Every time my car turns off it gets HOT in the car. I keep it off so I'm not sweating in my car all the time.
