They tell the company all the things the company can do for them. “I went on your website and I resonate with your mission.” Or “I am looking for a new challenge” But the worst thing people say is, “I want to work here for the benefits”   ❌DO NOT TELL THEM you want to work there for their benefits.   ✅INSTEAD tell them how you can be a value add to their organization. How you can help them achieve their goals. “I want to work here because I know one of your 3rd quarter goals is to break into the retail market in specifically in the area of e-commerce and as we’ve discussed I have done that in my last two positions, I know I can help you achieve your goals and get where you want to go”   ✅Your answer should NOT be what the company can do for you- it’s what you can do for the company. Convince them that you are not only qualified for this job but you will help them achieve their goals.
