Vet tech here!! I obviously don’t know the full story but if my clinic were to do that it’s most likely because they were retained baby teeth and would cause dental issues later in life if left alone

My dachshund puppy still hasn't dropped her canines and I'm hoping they don't have to be surgically removed 😭 I have kept at least one of each of the teeth she did drop because they were so cute 🤭

When I got my dog spayed they said they would take out all of the remaining baby teeth lol! So I also got the tube of teeth 😂😂

They could be deciduous teeth and his adult teeth were growing in and the deciduous teeth can be too close to the adult teeth and cause them to rot. Mine almost had to have hers surgically removed

I have found puppy theeth around my house as they grew.It also saved you damage chewing to get them out.I found with my doxies lots of safe chew bones top of the list.

When deciduous teeth (baby teeth) don't fall out as they should it is quite common to remove them during an anesthesia event (usually you would be told lol). Leaving them in can cause issues with

Definitely reach out to ask the vet if he has a VERY bad smell incase there was a complication from surgery. Also, HIGHLY recommended getting their nails done once a month! 🥰
