As a former Toyota tech, please don’t blame the techs/mechanics. It’s like Dave said that we don’t get paid to confirm. Commission pay sucks. I left dealership for the diesel fleet. Never looked back.

not all dealerships r bad. hate how bad rap everyone gives dealerships. there r really good techs that care and go above for customers who work at dealerships. there are dealerships that pay different

I absolutely hated being a dealership technician!!! 10 years and I quite! Maybe if I was at Dave’s I might be still in the industry.

Hey you can’t speak for every dealership at our dealer that I work at we always live by the common diagnostic law of condition cause correction confirm/verify. Only difference is you don’t get paid for diagnostic or cleaning every job is based off old labor operations that don’t account for vehicle condition or modern day complexity of how these cars are engineered they are very complex.

I’ve worked at 3 different dealerships and am at one now. That’s not my experience. I have always confirmed repair. Never felt rushed to do otherwise. 🤷♂️

yeah I don't want come backs or bad surveys so I CONFIRM MY REPAIRS. Yeah warranty sucks but we gotta keep a high standard. not every tech is that way....
