@eatingalonediariez: This Jewish deli is another NYC classic that’s had their doors open since 1908. Barney’s Greengrass started off in Harlem but moved to their now iconic location on the UWS, which has been the backdrop of countless films and tv shows. Let’s start off my talking about the latkes, my server convinced me to try them and now I will be getting these every time I come to Barney’s. They are a must order and phenomenal. Like a thick hash brown with the perfect crunch on the outside. Paired with the sour cream and applesauce were delightful!! The matzo ball soup is also a classic!! So comforting. Barney’s is known for their sturgeon and that’s what I got today with the salmon. The platter comes with veggies and a bagel and cream cheese on the side. Today I got an everything. The deconstructed aspect is nice so you can form it however you’d like. My server also let me try the whitefish salad which I HIGHLY recommend as well.
