No but you’ll save hours of time if you just know all the ACs. Declare the result of the roll then if it hits, roll damage you don’t have to check again

Bc players can use abilities to augment ac and decrease attack rolls. So if they want to spend resources they can and so they can intuite the enemies modifiers to better prepare. All info is good info
