@chelseacoffeycreavalle: A gentle reminder that no transition, no matter how big or small, is worth losing our identity. I think there's this unspoken set of conformities and expectations and self-assessments that happen when we hit certain ages, lifestyles, etc. but what good is it to reach whatever it is that you've been praying for/ believing for and not recognize the person looking back at you. I feel like I started to notice that I had this collection of pre-baby clothes, and there I was collecting more clothes but I was too much time overthinking my body, overthinking this season I'm in and honestly just the uncertainty of how my old clothes and style would feel now. If you can relate, here's my challenge to you, go in your closet and try on your clothes. Just set aside some time every day and make your way through them it's what l'm doing btw). Keep what makes you feel good. Toss what doesn't and be open to styling those pieces in ways that you maybe haven't tried before. Dressing really does come down to personal expression. So when I'm going through my pieces I ask myself how will I feel looking back on this season? Did I hide myself or did I embrace it? Am I too influenced by other styles? Do I look like myself?
