As a public school teacher, I totally understand the draw to homeschooling… But so many homeschooled kids are coming back to the public school with very little knowledge.

I knew a homeschool mom who thought her kids will "grow into learning to read" & her son, 8yo, was in middle school grades but unable to sound out basic words.not every parent is cut out to homeschool

As a teacher, all of the homeschooled kids that transferred back were behind. BUT I have seen excellent homeschool co-ops! Mothers and fathers working together with a group of children!

I’ve done both. It depends on the school and where your child is at. Pros and cons to both, it’s not black and white. No shame in navigating as you go, do what’s best for your child and family in the season you are in.
