Once I was in a student house and British Gas kept harassing us with 2k and repossession of our private things. It was to our names when we didn’t own the property.

I rang them up because did meter reading online then my bill came threw twice as much and they said it’s goes in to your saving we had 700 quid and they took it all said we used more that month

Best thing I did was switch from British Gad every time I topped up they took my money and said it was some sort of error, when I’d to speak to customer service it was always someone in Africa, they were arguing with me that I had 4 metres in my home they didn’t understand the basic layout of a British home with a fuse box and a metre box and were adamant I have 2 other ‘main boxes’ it was a nightmare I genuinely have PTSD from having no gas/electric nothing and then just taken every top-up from me and messing me about I will NEVER go back with them
