The difference between the two is that dragon took it as a badge of honor to see games take inspiration from it. But Pokemon and Nintendo just want the money

The dragon quest enemies and pokemon don't look even remotely alike though, where alot of pals in palworld are almost 1 to 1 rip offs.

Pokemon began development in 89 and they were choosing which Pokémon were to be added to the game back in October 92. Then they stopped development for a few years.

Original Dragon Quest (warrior monsters) for the old OG Gameboys was goated. Amazing game. Truthfully though Dragon Quest stopped making the Warrior Monster games and Pokémon adopted it 10 years later

Its for the trapping mechanic. And the patent was dated May 2024 aka they most likely did this specifically to sue Palworld.

literally only two dragon quest monsters look the same as a pokemon everything else way farther than in comparison than the jet dragon pal literally steals designs and sudo name of Latios.
