Knee pain during squats isn’t a death sentence, it’s a signal. When your knees hurt during squats, it’s usually not about the squat itself. 
It’s about how your body is moving (or not moving) leading up to it. Most of the time: * Your knees are taking on stress that should be shared with your hips and ankles. * You’re missing control and movement pattern. * You’re fighting your own mobility and expecting perfect output. * You haven’t developed the skill yet. Be patient. Pain is a protective response. It’s your body waving a flag that says,
“Hey genius, clean this up before we go heavier.” A good squat isn’t just about muscles, it’s about timing, coordination, and load management. When one joint is doing all the work, it complains. Loudly. 
Start thinking about pain as information. Then ask better questions: * Am I rushing into reps without owning the positions first? * Am I bracing well or flopping into the bottom? * Is my body working together or just surviving the movement? * Are my muscles and central nervous system ready for this movement under load? Fix the how, and the pain usually backs off. Also don’t wear shoes like I wore in this video. You want flat bottom shoes and nothing that is squishy.
