My therapist told me the reason I was never diagnosed with ADHD was because I was very intelligent do no one suspected any problems. However I do not feel "that" intelligence.

I think most ADHD-ers are highly sensitive and that’s why trauma impacts them more and they get a lot of “negative talk” as childs like “behave yourself, be quiet, act normal etc”

I think one of the issues is that adhd and cptsd symptoms HEAVILY overlap, making it hard to determine if you're experiencing one or the other

I always hear that social media is supposed to cause ADHD. I've also heard from a friend "You dont have ADHD you are just addicted to your phone". I am officially diagnosed btw.

yes it’s so so genetic people don’t realize. when my younger sister got diagnosed it was like a domino effect in my family, then i got diagnosed my dad, and all but one of my siblings. that’s 5/7 in

i think people get confused that trauma and hormonal changes (menopause, pmdd etc) can cause symptoms that mirror adhd but have different causation than true adhd, treatment might be the same anyways
