i think the style it was written makes it a boring read, but taking the plot points and stuff like that makes it interesting

I liked it but the payoff was a letdown. The final battle with Dracula was lame. Bram built the suspense of everything so well otherwise.

He’s not really wrong. The parts of the book that work really work. The middle, specifically the Lucy sections definitely drag and go way too long.

to be fair it is an old book, so I understand a lot changed, doesn't diminish the value of a classic,but people have the right to not like it,I understand literature is very different today,what was new back then,now is an cliché

It was the first found footage horror work. I think it is important and very forward thinking because of it. But that's a stylistic flair that may be lost on many readers. idk.
