I like the uv. will kill any viruses which are sub micron so can't be filtered. only other thing would be poisonous chemicals which filter will pass.

this is just a carbon block filter. its good for chlorine and some volatiles but it doesn't get most heavy metals, dissolved solids or fluoride. not a good choice for drinking water
