@overtimelee: 48hrs later… I have been diagnosed with severe heart failure at 29yrs old while also preparing to welcome a baby boy in December. The past 2 I have been hospitalized as a result of overworking my body and lack of rest trying to provide for my family . The road ahead isn’t going to be easy. Ive been in the the ICU for a few weeks and doctors have decided I need to have a pump placed in my heart. So I have to undergo open heart surgery in a few days. After the recover I will be placed on the transplant list and awaiting a new heart. Because I am 7ft tall my wait may be longer than the average sized person. In the meantime I’ve had multiple procedures to prepare my body for this major surgery coming up. Im in pain, uncomfortable, and hooked up to more machines, devices and medications than I can count but I’m in good spirits and staying positive thanks to all the support, prayers and well wishes. It’s been such an amazing experience opening up and sharing my story. I’m grateful to all the people who have shared theirs with me and made me feel so much less alone. #heartfailure #fyp #health #heartfailureawareness
