@ryanmichaelcarter: Garlic Fire Oil. This is a spicy infused olive oil with fresh garlic, jalapeños, and crushed red pepper. It’s great on pasta, bread, pizza— you name it. Use it the same as you would for olive oil. + STORAGE Once filtered, the Garlic Fire Oil will last about one month. No refrigeration is needed. DIRECTIONS + STEP 1: HEAT Submerge a 1-qt mason jar in a pot full of water and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil to 350°F. + STEP 2: COMBINE Carefully remove the mason jar from the water with tongs (WARNING! The jar and water will be extremely hot and will burn if touched). Ensure no water is left in the jar, then add the red pepper, jalapenos, and garlic. We leave the garlic cloves whole for a lighter garlic flavor. However, coarsely chopping the cloves will increase the garlic intensity. Then, carefully pour in the hot oil. Allow to completely cool and infuse for at least 2-3 hours. + STEP 3: STRAIN Once cooled, strain the oil and serve. The full recipe for this is now on my website (click the link in my bio). #garlicfireoil #infusedoliveoil #fireoil #casitamaderecipes

Caution: Not all glass jars can withstand the thermal shock of boiling oil.

The one thing that I love about chili 🌶️oil is the texture of the ingredients that create it. Why would you take that away from it?

If you directly pour oil at 350°F, will it scorch the dried chili peppers?

Do you have to do in a jar? Can you just pour over in a metal pan?

As delicious as this looks, it just goes rancid so fast. I don’t think I could use that much fast enough.

Is it necessary to boil the jar? Couldn’t you just pour the oil into a room temp Pyrex with the ingredients in it?
