@jaymewes: It's breaking my heart dropping Lucien off at daycare 💔 It's been about 3 weeks and he still cries at drop off. Who has dealt with this? Instincts tell me to turn around, but I know he'll learn to become comfortable eventually. Have any advice? #dadlife #daycare #dadsoftiktok #parenting
if toddler gets upset, and does not want to go. especially with a daycare, you might want to check into what's going on in the daycare

With my teacher cap on.. talk to his teacher! 9 times outta 10, by the time you’ve reached the main road, that baby has already moved on to a new adventure ✌🏼🤗

It was hard! It takes time. We started with an office space with a daycare for 6 months. Then 2 days a week. Now he runs in and doesn’t want to leave!

Talk with his teachers! 9/10 times he is done crying before you leave the parking lot. If by chance he is still crying even after you leave then you and your wife need to sit down and discuss if you

As a parent, it is hard. As a daycare provider, it’s very common for kids that are bonded with great parents, to cry. But, once they are playing and learning with other kids they’re fine, promise!

Ask for video of what it looks like when you leave. My son bawled when we left him for daycare all the time but the moment we were gone he was having a blast in seconds.

I am a single parent and I went through that with both my boys but both have ADHD and my youngest is level 2 on the spectrum. Its all about change and attachment ❤️

I'm telling you man. go with your gut feeling. I still remember the first day I was dropped off at daycare. the lady was pulling me by my legs inside the building. because I wouldn't let go of my mom

It is hard. As a mom I had to dig deep in my heart and stay strong. A lot of times separation anxiety will fade.

it's hard fr!! just keep strong, tell him it's only for a few hours, it helps him make friends, and learn. it's harder on the parents then the kids a lot of the time. maybe give him something to look

I have no experience being a Dad, but I feel for you regardless, it's hard, especially when they are against being separated from their parents 🥺 I wish you, him and your Wife... 🥰

Separation anxiety for toddlers peaks from 18-24 months. My son couldn’t handle it so I pulled him and tried again after that phase and now he loves it.

How is he when you go to pick him up? As a former daycare teacher, a lot of kiddos are upset initially but they have a ton of fun during the day. You're doing great!

But how is he when you pick him up? If he’s still upset when you pick him up, look into it. If he’s okay and happy when you pick him up? Then it’s separation anxiety and he’ll get through it.

I had the hardest time too, I would sit at the end of the street &cry. I would sneak back & peak, she was happy. Sucks, but it will get better. Have the teacher take pictures. 🤗 Is okay

It's good for him, but it's so hard starting out. My 23-year-old told me after his first week of Kindergarten "It makes me sad cause it takes too long to see you again" You got this Dad 🥰
