As a parent, it is hard. As a daycare provider, it’s very common for kids that are bonded with great parents, to cry. But, once they are playing and learning with other kids they’re fine, promise!

Ask for video of what it looks like when you leave. My son bawled when we left him for daycare all the time but the moment we were gone he was having a blast in seconds.

it's hard fr!! just keep strong, tell him it's only for a few hours, it helps him make friends, and learn. it's harder on the parents then the kids a lot of the time. maybe give him something to look

Separation anxiety for toddlers peaks from 18-24 months. My son couldn’t handle it so I pulled him and tried again after that phase and now he loves it.

Real talk: my wife & I started taking our now 5 yr old to day care early & made sure she got into a 4k program. socially & educationally it (see 2)

How is he when you go to pick him up? As a former daycare teacher, a lot of kiddos are upset initially but they have a ton of fun during the day. You're doing great!

But how is he when you pick him up? If he’s still upset when you pick him up, look into it. If he’s okay and happy when you pick him up? Then it’s separation anxiety and he’ll get through it.

I had the hardest time too, I would sit at the end of the street &cry. I would sneak back & peak, she was happy. Sucks, but it will get better. Have the teacher take pictures. 🤗 Is okay

It's good for him, but it's so hard starting out. My 23-year-old told me after his first week of Kindergarten "It makes me sad cause it takes too long to see you again" You got this Dad 🥰
