They shouldn’t feel left out because they know they both get one day all about them. Me personally i don’t do this, my children need to learn that Xmas is for everyone not birthdays! X

Totally get the mum guilt but they do have to learn that everyone has a birthday each year and there’s will come.. they’ll end up having tantrums at others birthdays cause they didn’t get gifts

i totally agree with you on not wanting them to feel left out, but i will tell you i was at a friends bday party & there was this kid who was freaking out bc they didn’t have any gifts 😭

My family have always done this too. If it's one child's birthday, the other child/children have a little present/few presents to open too. Trust me, the other kids do notice.

I have AUDHD and never understood as a kid so if my it was my brother or sisters birthday, I'd get 1 gift, they would too on mine and who ever siblings birthday it wasn't, they'd get one too.

my great grandma used to do this, she couldn't stand buying a child gifts without buying for another. it never ever bothered me that my brother got a little present on my birthday too, why would it?!

I used to have to share everything with my sister as child including a room and we are 2 years apart and on my birthday i wouldn’t let anyone play with my toys let alone if my sister got gifs
