Standing tall on Sololaki Hill near Narikala Fortress, this 20-meter aluminum statue was designed in 1958 by the talented Georgian sculptor Elguja Amashukeli to mark the city’s 1500th anniversary. The figure, dressed in traditional Georgian clothing, holds a bowl of wine in her left hand to welcome friends and a sword in her right hand for enemies, representing the warmth and resilience of the Georgian people throughout history.
