It is believed that the St Augutin had miraculous occurrences in the town, thus the church was dedicated to Him. One occurrence was in 1994 where his silhouette appeared and that part was dry while the rest of the chapel was wet due to heavy rains. Another one is where his silhouette was seen by children. Locals also said that he resembles himself as an old beggar when his feast day is near, August 28. This is also one of the historical churches in Cavite as it is where Gen.
