when i worked at a deli I would criss cross the slices like one diagonal, the next straight, diagonal, straight, diagonal, straight lol it's so easy to separate

It doesn't have to be a full sheet of paper, just a small piece under the corner. I know the butcher does not do that but that is what could be done. 💜

Try to make sure when ypur groceries are bagged that the cheese is on top so it doesn't get squished. I've found that helps.

Ask them to off set each slice. Also keep it cold . If it gets warm at all they stick. Always go th the deli last!

Worked in the deli, u can ask them to paper it we laid 4 slices and folded the paper. Average pound would be like 8 sheets in our deli

i work in a deli, and we always separate with paper... also, how thin do you like your cheese? I've never gotten 30 slices out of a pound

When I buy wonton wraps they have like,corn starch or flour or something between them to keep them from banding together, I wonder if dusting the knife as they go could help, and I wonder if they do that

that would be a lot of paper lol. I'm used to only getting like 8 slices and they always put those little papers in between each slice.. I've never had to ask them. ❤️❤️❤️

They do this down south! When I moved from PA to FL it blew my mind! Put it in the freezer when you 1st bring it home for about 30 mins I found this helps

I always ask for them not to use paper and they stagger it. so shingling will allow an edge to always be separate to make it easy to grab one.
