@heidirojasmusic: A year ago today I posted this video of me singing this little lullaby I wrote for my son who was struggling with some big feelings. I can’t believe that it went massively viral with over 7 million views and that I finished writing the song, released it, then translated to Spanish and released that too. And the beautiful friendships and community I’ve met over the year, the messages about the song helping calm big feelings around the world. My son started loving school a week after I posted this. And this year he walked into preschool with so much confidence and determination. On the first day of school he told his teachers he didn’t want to be called Santi anymore, he wanted to be called Santiago. He’s grown 🤣 I hope this song can continue to grow too, into a book, translated into more languages (8 mamas already translated it into their native language last year), shared and sung together with children and inner children around the world. Thanks for supporting me as I write and share songs from my heart. So much more to come, like maybe a bilingual children’s book in NOVEMBER!!!!! 🥰💗🥳✨ #MomsofTikTok #parents #viralvideos

Aww. When I was in kindergarten (30+ years ago) I had to wear a 4x6 printed photo of my mom around my neck because I would miss her so much. Still sensitive in my heart, but empathy is such a gift.

When boys connect to their emotions and are supported by their mommas they will naturally gain true confidence and love for themselves. Its beautiful

Sobbing. I was mocked & punished for being this sensitive as a kid. Thank you for reassuring us moms who are trying to normalize feelings as they come we are doing the right thing for our kids. 🖤

Do you mind adding captions? I’d love to share with others but would like it to be accessible to some friends who are deaf! This is brilliant and beautiful 🥰🥰

When I was in pre-k, I wore a locket with my mom’s picture in it. I would look at it all day long and cry during nap staring at the picture. It helped me so much 🩷

I’m crying for this boy. You’re such a good mama! I remember hating being away from my mom, this physically hurts my heart.

I love this. I lost my mom just before teaching kindergarten. It’s absolutely okay to cry for our moms (any loved one when missed). Those feelings need to be honored more often. 💖

I remember seeing this after my first was born. He’s two now and this is still one of my favorite songs to sing to him when he’s having big feelings. Thanks for sharing 🤍

I love the whole interaction. A teacher trying his best to console a kid but accepting that the kid needs his mom. And a mom who picks her kid up without judging the teacher. (1)

OK… as an adult that had separation anxiety as a kid— I would cry because my anxious little brain was telling me that I would never see my mom again. It was telling me that she would die.
