I grew up in Chi, and while it's diverse, it's also quite segregated. The public transit is excellent, but the overall mentality still feels very Midwestern/ conservative. Really depends on your scene

I would not recommend it. I make almost 200k and it’s not enough. Traffic is terrible, going out is very expensive, taxes etc… too many cons and not enough pros.
