That's why I left my full time job so that I can care for my mother myself. I gave up everything for her.

💯 agree. I'm a home health clinician in las vegas and have been to many ALFs and group homes. I have seen the range $ gets you. you HAVE to be proactive in their care. it's a broken system.

It takes a 2 income household so there’s nobody left at home to help those parents. Sad but true. 🥺

I know I will be going to a nursing, I am prepared, use to work in one and they are not all bad, can not always depend on family, they are busy, can never depend on others ( sounds so sad ).

Yep you are so correct. We kept our Mom at home. She finally passed away in the hospital. She never went to a Nursing Home🙏🏾💔😢

Thank you! For Sharing I tell people that all the time my father was in a nursing home and I seen him every day to make sure they knew he had family that cared. He was well taken care of.

Yes! I have worked and unfortunately had family in facilities. The more family visit the better the care. And come at different times. Show interest on daily care. Ask about how much they ate, bath routine ,how often out of bed and ask to meet aides and nurses. Couldn't have mire than 2,000 in account and they go back 2-5 years. Want control of chech, leaving them $30 a month. If you control finds, they may ask for detail receipts of how you spend money

💯% truth!!! I've not only seen it numerous times but also worked in one. It's horrible! And I would say it's mainly due to extreme under staffing.
