Throwing things in the soup is a decent way to find potential correlations which, *if confirmed*, could help formulate hypotheses. But that requires a lot of care to publish ethically.

the only thing, I would add is that sometimes those 'open' studies give you an idea about a hypothesis you can then in a second run test (mostly about the prejudices of the bad scientists. ^^

i think my most hated thing about riksen is how they refuse to use foreign studies, and if you bring up anything about them in an appt, you get told off for it, and told that those studies are bunk

They don’t, I’m currently in Riksen’s system as a trans man, they’ve really only helped me. They’re not as bad as people think. They’ve never tried to use any phernology on me💀

I always thought the stereotype is because since many trans people need some form of therapy for legal transition it's more likely a psychologist will spot the autism while they're at it. 🤔
