Cardio can speed up your weight loss, but only if you don’t compensate with food. And unfortunately, most people do compensate. That was my case. I used to do insane HIIT cardio, burning 700–900 calories on the StairMaster, and then I’d come home and eat a dinner portion twice as big as usual. So if you’re just starting your weight-loss journey, you’re already struggling to adjust to a new diet and new habits. Cardio can destabilize you even more. It can make you hungrier, more frustrated, and more likely to overeat. My suggestion: stick to 3–5 muscle workouts per week even home workouts and focus on your diet. That’s what will actually create the deficit and change your body. If you want to add cardio, go for something light like incline walking on a treadmill. It’s great for your cardiovascular health, but it’s optional. It’s not compulsory. I do cardio now only to clear my head, not as a weight-loss tool. #weighlosscoach #weightlosstransformation #cardio
