صح لسانك ياغالي بعض البشر مثل الشجر الصناعي، مهما غمرتهم بالطيب والخير ما يثمرون، كأن الطيب فيهم ما له أثر

Secret underground hospital in Khyber Pass from WW2 Built into the side of the hill below Ali Masjid Fort is an underground hospital facility from World World 2 days. Ali Masjid Fort stands high on one of the hills and commands the view of the Khyber Pass. In the past it was the site of ancient temple ruins. Ali Masjid Fort stands high on one of the hills and commands the view of the Khyber Pass. In the past it was the site of ancient temple ruins. In more recent history, around 1820s, it was converted into a military fortress by Dost Mohammed Khan, King of Afghanistan that kept the Sikh Empire in check from expanding westwards and going further beyond Jamrud. It was rebuilt in the 19th century by the British and the present infrastructure dates back to that era. The Khyber Pass is narrowest at Ali Masjid. In older travel books it is often stated, "At Ali Masjid, the narrow gorge at times reaches 15 feet in width." However, that's not the case anymore. The construction of main highway to Afghanistan through the Khyber Pass necessitated its widening. An old legend also speaks of Hazrat Ali’s adventures in the defiles of Ali Masjid where he (according to the legend) performed his prayers and encountered a giantess by the name of Bul Shinwari. Many a poems have been composed and sung to this mythical tale. The masjid (mosque) is located here and so are the springs mentioned in ancient poetry. Ali Masjid was the scene of some of the bloodiest battles between Afghans and British. Nearby is a historic old British cemetery, but now in a rundown condition. There are tank traps or "dragon's teeth" set in the waterways and ravines in a few places to thwart a perceived German invasion in World War 2 #trending #viral #afghan #history
