I get malnourished at times bc I have an autoimmune disease & struggle with appetite quite badly, and I ALWAYS get the most compliments when I’m at my sickest, because I’m at my thinnest 🙃

Yea I had this during my ED relapse :/ my friends said I looked like a skull.. like I was alive and walking, but also dead. It was the hardest part looking at myself like that. It made me realize I truly had a problem.

when I got really sick with gastroparesis, (couldn’t eat for 22 days) the thing that shocked me most was my legs and knees. I didn’t even recognize them the muscle and fat loss was so extreme.

I had Ana for years, I first noticed blue/purple hands, feet and sometimes lips. Also, fine fuzzy hair all over, getting dizzy when standing up despite drinking. Bradycardia etc.

I spent most of my 20s malnourished due to gastroparesis and a pancreatic disease and it made me look older than I was. And fcked up my skin. My skin hasn’t recovered even tho my body somewhat has.
