Dave, as a fixed wing pilot I’ve never understood how power is set in a helicopter. Is power applied automatically as you raise or lower the collective, i.e. you don’t have a throttle like in a fixed?

I had my tif(training introductory flight in a Hugh's 300 d after essentially this instruction I flew the entire flight was heaps fun loved it ❤️

Just curious, I read about helicopter flight dynamics once upon a time and it said you also had to do petal input to counter the tail rotor torque, is that true or am I misremembering?
